DSW Completes Live trials of integrated ANPR system
November 2013 saw DSW CCTV complete the live trials of an ANPR system designed to control site access to a new 5 star Hoseasons holiday park in Chedder, Somerset. The park offers guests a complete luxury experience and an essential aspect of this was seen to be the automated access to the park at all times.
QRO Solutions Ltd was commissioned by DSW CCTV to develop a bespoke software solution which integrated into the Hoseasons booking system – providing completely automated access to the park for the duration of a guests stay on the site.
DSW mounted the Rapier ANPR camera into a bespoke colour matched bollard designed and manufactured by local engineering firm Industrial Engineering Ltd. The colour matched bollard carefully blended in with the site and ensured discretion around the park.
The camera picks up images of a cars registration plate then translates and compares this to the Hoseasons booking database. When a match is found the system opens the barrier into the park. This authentication is then automatically revoked upon check out.
DSW, working together with Rapier manufacturer MAV systems Limited, UK Barrier services Limited, QRO solutions Limited and the Prodware group, were able to provide a complete, integrated solution, therefore proving a seamless experience for the guests and a comprehensive solution for the client.
